Scalloped Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 3 Tbs butter
  • 3 Tbs flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ⅛ pepper
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 5 cups potatoes, thinly sliced
  • ½ cup onion, chopped

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350°.
  2. Melt the butter in a pant. Stir in the flour, salt and pepper until smooth.
  3. Gradually add the milk, stirring. Bring to a boil.
  4. Continue stirring for 2 minutes until it thickens.
  5. Stir in the shredded cheese. Add the potatoes and onion.
  6. Pour it all into a 2 quart baker.
  7. Bake for 1 hour covered then 30 minutes uncovered.
