Fresh Mint Sauce

Ingredients (~2 cups)

  • 1⁄2 cup water
  • 2 - 4 Tbs sugar
  • 1⁄2 cup fresh mint leaves, finely chopped and packed
  • 1 cup malt vinegar
  • Pinch of Kosher salt

Directions

  1. Combine water and sugar in a small saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring just until the sugar dissolves completely.
  2. Remove pan from heat and stir in the mint leaves and vinegar. Taste and add more sugar if you prefer a sweeter sauce.
  3. Set aside at toom temperature for 2 - 3 hours.
