Tuna Glue

Ingredients

  • 3 cup egg noodles
  • 1⁄4 cup butter
  • 1 cup celery, chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1⁄4 cup flour
  • 1⁄2 tsp salt
  • 1⁄2 tsp pepper
  • 21⁄4 cup milk
  • 2 Tbs Dijon mustard
  • 12 oz tuna, drained
  • 1⁄2 cup peas
  • 4 oz shredded cheese
  • 1⁄2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1⁄4 cup parmesan, grated
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 Tbs parsley
  • 1 Tbs butter, melted

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 375°.
  2. Grease a 2 quart baker.
  3. Cook noodles and drain.
  4. Melt the butter. Cook the celery, bell pepper and onion until translucent.
  5. Stir in flour, salt and pepper.
  6. Slowly add milk and cook until thick and bubbly.
  7. Stir in the Dijon. Add the tuna, peas, noodles and shredded cheese.
  8. Pour the mixture into the baker.
  9. Combine the breadcrums, parmesan, paprika, parsely and melted butter. Sprinkle over the top of baker.
  10. Bake for 30 minutes. Let sit for 5 minutes.
