Tuna Glue
Ingredients
- 3 cup egg noodles
- 1⁄4 cup butter
- 1 cup celery, chopped
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1⁄4 cup flour
- 1⁄2 tsp salt
- 1⁄2 tsp pepper
- 21⁄4 cup milk
- 2 Tbs Dijon mustard
- 12 oz tuna, drained
- 1⁄2 cup peas
- 4 oz shredded cheese
- 1⁄2 cup bread crumbs
- 1⁄4 cup parmesan, grated
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 Tbs parsley
- 1 Tbs butter, melted
Directions
- Heat oven to 375°.
- Grease a 2 quart baker.
- Cook noodles and drain.
- Melt the butter. Cook the celery, bell pepper and onion until translucent.
- Stir in flour, salt and pepper.
- Slowly add milk and cook until thick and bubbly.
- Stir in the Dijon. Add the tuna, peas, noodles and shredded cheese.
- Pour the mixture into the baker.
- Combine the breadcrums, parmesan, paprika, parsely and melted butter. Sprinkle over the top of baker.
- Bake for 30 minutes. Let sit for 5 minutes.
