Tamagodon
Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 1 onion
- 2 scallions
- 1 Tbs sugar
- 2 Tbs soy sauce
- 2 Tbs mirin
- 2 cups steamed rice
- 1 Tbs toasted sesame seeds
Directions
- Slice the onion into thin strips.
- Cut the scallion into small pieces.
- Crack the eggs into a mixing bowl and roughly beat.
- Put the sugar, soy sauce, mirin and 6 tablespoons of water in a bowl and mix well.
- Put oil in a pan and add the sliced onions. Stir it until the onions begin to brown.
- Pour in the sauce and bring it to a boil.
- Once it begins boiling, pour the egg mixture around the pan. Add the chopped scallions.
- Once the egg is cooked, pour the whole over steamed rice.
- Top with sesame seeds and serve.
