Chocolate Pudding

Ingredients

  • 1 C sugar
  • ½ C baking cocoa
  • ¼ C cornstarch
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 4 C whole milk
  • 2 Tbs butter
  • 2 tsp vanilla

Directions

  1. In a heavy saucepan, combine sugar, cocoa, cornstarch and salt.
  2. Gradually add milk, stirring all the time.
  3. Bring to a boil over medium heat; boil and stir for 2 minutes.
  4. Remove from the heat; stir in butter and vanilla. Spoon into individual serving dishes.
  5. Chill until serving. Top with whipped cream or ice cream.
