Green Beans
Freezing or canning? We are going to try both methods and see which is the best way to preserve green beans without losing texture or flavor.
Ingredients

14 pounds green beans, washed and ends trimmed
Directions
Freezing

Blanch the beans in boiling water for ~3 minutes then place in ice water for the same time.

Fill vacuum bags with ~2 cups of beans.

Vacuum seal, label and freeze
Canning
-
Fill jars with the beans, trimming to length if necessary.

Fill jars with boiling water, leaving 1" headspace

Wipe, lid and ring

Pressure can at 10 lbs for 25 minutes.
