Cauliflower

This is one of our favorite veggies as it works well raw with dips, roasted or pan fried as a side dish, or used as a base for soups. Just to have it on hand in winter, we simply freeze it.

Ingredients

  • Fresh cauliflower

Directions

  1. Wash and trim the cauliflower heads. Break off the individual florets
  2. Get a large pot of water to a full boil
  3. Blanch the florets in boiling water for ~3 minutes then place in ice water for the same length of time
  4. Dry the florets
  5. Fill freezer bags with the cauliflower and vacuum seal
  6. Label and store
