Rhubarb and Strawberry go so well together and come into harvest at the same fime!
Ingredients

2 qts fresh strawberries

2 qts rhubarb

4 cups sugar

¼ fresh lemon juice

¾ tsp salt

1 tsp black pepper

1 tsp vanilla extract
Directions

Wash the strawberries. Remove the caps

Wash and cut up the rhubarb

Combine everything in heavy bottomed pan. Bring to a boil stirring constantly

Reduce heat to simmering, stirring to prevent scorching. For at least an hour until thick, possibly two hours depending on your stove

Remove from heat and skim

Fill jars leaving ½" headspace

Waterbath for 10 minutes
