The best way to preserve as-close-to-picked flavor as possible.

Ingredients (10 half-pints) Instructions:
  1. Gently wash the strawberries.
  2. Remove the caps and slice in half.
  3. In a large bowl add the strawberries and sugar and mix well.
  4. Cover lightly and refrigerate overnight.
  5. Stir again to thoroughly mix the berries and juice.
  6. Fill freezer bags, about ½ - 1 pound per bag depending on how much you want to use at a time.
  7. Squeeze out as much air as you can, press the bag flat.
  8. Place the bags in the freezer laying flat. Once frozen they can be stored upright.
