Synopsis: A faded movie star and a neglected young woman form an unlikely bond after crossing paths in Tokyo.

A wonderful tale of a young woman and a former movie star meeting each other in Tokyo. Bob Harris [Bill Murray] has faded from fame but not recognition as he is in Tokyo appearing in the advertising campaign for a whiskey. Charlotte [Scarlett Johansson] has followed her photographer husband Bob [Giovanni Ribisi] to Tokyo where he is doing a photo shoot for a rock band.

Bob is suffering from what appears to be a mid-life crisis and Charlotte is so young she hasn't figured out her life yet. Together they are lost yet help each other deal with their lives. This is a touching, and quite funny, movie. Johansson is excellent and Murray, not one of our favorites, is quite good as well.

The supporting cast is good yet, as with many other movies, parts of Japan seem strangely unpopulated. However exactly do they do that?
