This is a fairly complex movie, as are many of Christopher Nolan's movies – Memento, The Prestige, Interstellar. The concept is that one can enter another's dream and while there, steal information. In this case, the plan is to enter someone's dream and plant an idea rather than steal one.

How this all happens is fascinating and interesting and there are several unique twists and unexpected events that keeps the viewer on their toes. And over it all – or rather under it all – is another story involving the main character. This, frustratingly, is not resolved by the end of the movie and numerous websites have been devoted to attempting to explain the ending, none to our satisfaction.

However, this is precisely what makes it a good movie, you must think. This is not spoon-fed to you all neat and clean and with a predictable ending. This is convoluted and confusing and fascinating and troubling and unresolved. Just like real life, though this is not real life, at all. It's a dream.

Or is it?
