Synopsis: The music of The Beatles and the Vietnam War form the backdrop for the romance between an upper-class American girl and a poor Liverpudlian artist.

This is an incredibly creative movie. The story is fairly straightforward. A young American girl meets a young English boy. Love ensues.

The story takes place against the backdrop of the late 1960's in the United States. Rock and Roll, drugs, the Vietnam War and the protests against it all fill the background of this love story.

The really unique aspect to this film is that it is a musical, filled with songs from The Beatles. Not just as background music, but as dialog sung by the characters. And the music is extremely well done, both in execution and integration into the story line.

We have never quite seen a film like this and found it extremely enjoyable. Evan Rachel Wood and Jim Sturgess as the lovers, and Joe Anderson as her brother, all do a fantastic job. Watch the film closely as there are cameos by some very famous people.
