America's Diner · Bistro Collection

This series, often called the "Diner" series, was released by Fiesta for a very short time in 2010. It is a replication of dinnerware sold to restaurants during the 1940's and 1950's. There were two basic styles: Checkerboard and Stripes. The Checkerboard style is preferred.

A place setting consists of:

The collection also came with a Large Pitcher and an Oval Platter.

Several pieces can be found with decals. These are very desirable.

"Open 24 hrs" and "Time To Eat"  are our favorties

As far as we have been able to determine, the available colors are Black, Chocolate, Cinnabar, Cobalt, Scarlet and Turquoise.
Ideally we would have 4 place settings in mixed colors: Chocolate, Cinnabar, Cobalt and Tuquoise.

This version of the Diner platter has prices around the rim rather than the checkerboard. It is very cool and we have only seen one of these.
We would love to have one of these in our collection.
